Jesus says, “Repent for The Kingdom of God is At Hand!”
Matthew 4:12–17 NET

Now when Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, he went into Galilee.

13 While in Galilee, he moved from Nazareth to make his home in Capernaum by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,

14 so that what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled:

15 “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way by the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles —

16 the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, and on those who sit in the region and shadow of death a light has dawned.”

17 From that time Jesus began to preach this message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

When we repent of our worldy ways and sin, and come to Christ, we are coming to serve the King of the Universe!
We are coming from the world to the Kingdom of God — the Kingdom of Heaven.

He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves,

14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1:9–20 NET

For this reason we also, from the day we heard about you, have not ceased praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

10 so that you may live worthily of the Lord and please him in all respects – bearing fruit in every good deed, growing in the knowledge of God,

11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might for the display of all patience and steadfastness, joyfully

12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light.

13 He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves,

14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Coming to Christ, God has delivered you form the power of darkness, and transferred you to the kingdom of the Son He loves!
Forgiven — Redeemed
You have been forgiven, for you have been bought back from the judgement of God by the payment that Jesus made to His Father on your behalf, by willingly dying and shedding His blood on the cross.
Being bought back = redeemed. We were dead in our sins against God. Set down for the judgement Day of God — and now through the blood that Jesus sacrificed — His own blood, your judgment penalty had been paid to the Father, and you are free form sin and it's consequences—death!
